Ah, my mate Marmite! Gorgeous stuff and also is reputedly good at keeping mozzies away. Not by spreading over your arms I might add but as it's 'given off' by the body. Oh lordy that sounds awful lol

Bovril on toast every morning! Oxo cube in hot water to drink on a cold day! If your roast potatoes aren't browning, a tiny dab of Bovril on the top of each one gives a real meat juice based taste!

      another nice combination ...

      a fresh soft round breadroll

loads of butter .... bovril or marmite thinly spreaded on the butter

hard boiled eggs cut in slices

a bit of salt and cracked black pepper

a handful of rocket or watercress or a few iceburg lettuce leaves

I bought some free range eggs today from tesco (they have a blue coloured shell) ... I may tell my wife to make me the above sandwich for lunch tommorow

Eat enough of it without brushing your teeth afterwards and it keeps almost everything away. Love it, though. Very good on plain Ryvitas for those emergency diets. :)

try both marmite aswell as Bovril .... I don't enjoy marmite, but always have a jar of Bovril at home

if you don't like them, you can add a teaspoon of either, to a stew, so they won't go wasted

try some on a slice of bread with loads of butter and just a dab of bovril or marmite
