            Is that on your Brandywine tomato plant?

            A few of my megablooms:

            Phil's Fantastic (yes, that's all one flower!);

            megabloom (phils1).jpg

            Mortgage Lifter:

            megabloom (mort lift).jpg

            Unamed varitiey (but supposed to grow big:

            Big Zac F2+:

            Brandywine (pink - Sudduth's strain):

            Omars Lebanese:

            P.S. No megablooms open on the ones growing outdoors yet.

            P.P.S. Will be saving seed from all of these and some other likely candidates for bigguns, so hopefully will have loads of spares for next year - How are the Phil's Fantastics doing from the seeds I sent out this year?

            P.P.P.S. 'Scuse my grubby nails, but I've been sowing several hundred pots with the seeds 'first knuckle' depth.

                No sign of mega-blooms on mine. Is there a way to encourage them?

                  Grow varieties that are known to have a high incidence of megablooms, but aren't you growing Delicious which is amongst those known for producing them? No megablooms on my Delicious plants yet, not even sure if there's any flowers at all yet - will have to check.

                  EDIT: Only one single standard bloom on my Delicious plants, but I've now found megablooms on my Giant Belgium and Marianna's Peace plants.

                  A couple of megablooms on my Delicious, none on my Big Boys but then I had none on the Big Boys last year and still got some whoppers.

                  Yes I am growing Delicious, had another good look at them today and all the flowers are singletons, maybe I need a bit of patience. The plants are growing very strongly and I've got a few cherry sized fruit now :dbgrtmb:
