Help In Sowing Poppy Papaver (Garden Gnome) Seeds

    Poppy seeds are pretty small. I don't know about your specific variety but poppies in general are easy. Seeing as you only have a few, I'd sow a tiny pinch into several pots. If you only get one or two plants, you'll have enough seed to keep you going forever after.

    yea, true - i wouldn't bother with pricking out but sow them directly in the pots, because they are quite likely to come up without problems

    don't worry about the size of the seeds, I usually fold the seed bag so that all seeds line up in the fold and then gently tap to make them come out

    Thanks for replys, sowed them last night (not easy) they came in a tiny
    plastic thimble and look like a tiny drop of ground coffee

    Managed to surface sow them into the small plastic plant
    trays, hopfully they will germenate in these and hoping
    that surface sowing was the correct method to use?
