    Hi all

Just moved into a new house with quite a nice garden. However, there is a tree that appears to have some sort of disease which has resulted in black-ish spot on the leaves, leading them to eventually fall off. Unfortuately, I'm no gardener (although I'd like to be). Can any one out there identify the tree and disease and how do I treat it (if possible). Let me know of you need more info. Picture attached.

    Thanks

Not sure about the leaf, have you got a pic of the tree as well?

Hi Atticboy, Welcome to GC.. I am not sure what it is to be honest, I want to say a cherry of some kind, but whatever it is it looks like it is grafted onto a different root system as is very common these days with allot of trees.. Hence the ring around the trunk.. I think it has failed at the graft to be honest..It happens I am afraid..
Have you any idea how old it is? Does it ever flower.?
