We still have a hosepipe ban here in Battle. Hastings (5miles away) has had theirs lifted.

They've said that they definitely won't lift the ban on our area before winter.

After the short interlude of a few days of summer again last week the last few days have again been distinctly autumnal; light winds being the only positive of what it becoming a very depressing summer (weather-wise ); I don't like red hot weather but this is ridiculous, what ever happened to that nice settled "in-between" summer weather, not too hot but nice and warm and dry for the most part....seems our weather over the last couple of years is made up of extremes, either hotter than Africa or cold and damp even in what's supposed to be summer :dunno:

Damp and dull from dinner time; several hours of light rain :frown:, it was warm though and there was no wind..

The forecast for the week; in a word "pants", apart from a promise of temperatures in the low 20's, very unsettled with lots more rain to come!!!!:gaah:

I know the feeling hasn't stopped drizzling all day here, had central heating on earlier and the wife has sat under a blanket all evening. Im sitting with tracky bottoms and a hoody. The Great British summer aint that great this year.
