Ah, Folly Man must be right, the slats are going the other way ... or you turned the fence panels round and THEN painted them? !!

Been out all morning got loads done. Fed plants, weeded borders and veg patch. Sown some cabbage and blushing bride daisy, tied in sweet pea and sun flowers, dead headed roses, took some escallonia cuttings, killed some snails I found hanging about. Want to cut the lawns before we go away in the morning, but it's too wet still hopefully with the sun today I can get them done later.

Managed to mow the lawn before the thunder storm came!
Potted up new fatsia japonica into its new home.
Moved all pots under the patio umbrella in view of the monsoons that are predicted tomorrow! :gaah: :hate-shocked:
Watered all the Toms peppers and cucumbers.

Top marks!!! Thanks mate, we really love the space that this garden gives us compared with the one at the old house, and having the French doors off the living room makes it even better.

1st Prize comes from the, errrr, prize department, which is, errrr, operated by............ Zigs or Marley?

It looks a little lost in that barrel at the moment Nick. :heehee: I love Acers but they just don't like where I'm living, the soil, the weather and the salt in the air.

Well I got the grass cut in the veg patch, did some weeding, hacked back the russian vine from the neighbours - AGAIN!!:gaah: , checked the tomato plants for side shoots and removed some lower leaves that were withered and pruned the gooseberries.

Today I'll just be looking at it if this rain keeps up as promised..:frown:

Got a lot of work done in the garden yesterday. More mowing, lots of weeding - and still cutting back the aquilegias

Spent a long time watering baskets, pots, greenhouse and all the nursery bed areas. Then watered the runnerbeans and courgettes etc as we've had no rain and lots of hot sun for a few days.

There's been a steady drizzle since 4.30 a.m. so it should help the areas of the garden where the soil has been cracking up.

No gardening today as I'm off up to London to see the queen. I'll keep an eye open for the little mouse. :heehee:
