Id try it, (definately strip back some of the lower leaves as it wont have the roots to keep them going)

If it doesnt work youve not lost anything but from my experience it ought to root.

Last evening there was an open evening held by the Environment Agency who displayed their plans for flood barriers. They hope to construct a series of angled and landscaped bunds,4metres wide x2 metres high, along the stream allowing them to control the flow of flood water. They had other options and so I suggested all of them be implimented:wink:...however it seems that funds would only allow one plan and most of the allocated money will more than lightly be paid to land owners in compensation:dh:....The land is empty pasture so what's the compensation actually for I wonder:scratch:.
The proposed plans are impressive and the amount of material in the construction is immense,I can't begin to imagine the logistics of it all!
Finger crossed the works will begin sometime this year...hopefully before it rains again:D

Our local newspaper has an article about a flood survey at
    floodforum.org.uk.
I've been in a looked for the survey but keep getting sent to a 'monkey survey' site thanking me for taking part (never saw it) and they have a free sign up form to start your own surveys.....
Any one able to go in and find the survey...maybe I'm missing something!:dh:

 I don't know Pal, but did you see this page..??
http://www.floodforum.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=16&Itemid=8 ...???? Maybe contact them & ask them for the results of the survey for your area.. If you put it in writing as far as I know they are bound by law to answer you satisfactorily within 14 days or 2 weeks.... You really have to keep on at them to get a reply but pester like heck as this is your home not theirs..... You have that time at present so go for it mate. Become a thorn in their side if necessary..!!! You are entitled to an answer mate........ :thumb:
