Neighbour Dilemma

I know there's been quite a few of these threads in the past few months about people not getting along with their neighbours for various reasons but I have a dilemma with the chap who lives next door to us.

Basically his wife left him over a year ago after having an affair. This man now lives on his own but spends his weekends and some evenings with various women coming and going. It didn't take my other neighbours long to clock on what was going on either. But recently I found that one of the women (he's now whittled it down to two) has been quite friendly towards me. Today I saw her while I was outside and she was feeding his animals while he was "away on business".

This women is so friendly and I feel that she is being taken for a mug by my neighbour, as I really think she has fallen for him. My other half says don't get involved as he is our neighbour at the end of the day and if I do say something it will be never forgiven etc. My neighbour is friendly, but keeps himself to himself. I don't think any of the other neighbours get along with him though tbh.

I do harbour strong views on situations like this as my dad cheated on my mum when I was a child and see it as a very selfish act.

I don't think I'm looking for an answer from this thread but thought I would post it up as something a bit different from the typical problems we seem to have with our neighbours nowadays

 

just my twopenneth worth.

if its your neighbour, then dont get involved with his private life, regardless how well you get on with his lady friend. what goes on behind others closed doors is their life.

if it was your best friend, then by all means, but not with a neighbour. your other half is right.

 

Just mention that she looks much nicer than the usual Ladies of the Night that he has round & ask if she has a day job too.

He has made a very basic school boy error.

I would have just whitled it down to seven woman, and then made sure that I ate and slept at the allocated ladies house on the correct evening.

Just learn one of the other ladies' names, and keep calling this friendly lady by the other name.
