Rainy days at work always offer the opportunity for my favourite childish prank.
When walking around with another person, wait until said person passes under a large, leafy branch, then give the branch a short, sharp tap causing large amounts of water to descend on top of victim. :snork:
I know, I know, it's very childish, but I just can't help myself! :hapydancsmil:

A boring answer I know, but I do my housework, it leaves the good days for outside.

My dad taught me that one when I was little. Nowadays my wife wont walk under a low hanging branch on a wet day unless I stand well out of the way:)

Might be needing those a lot earlier than normal this year - the field mushroom season's already started here.

I've just found a load of Jew's Ear fungus growing on the wood pile, don't usually expect that till the winter. Brought on by the rain & cool temperatures I guess.

A couple of my favourites, to avoid doing some actual work:
                a) Bit of a siesta with a good book and a cuppa
                b) In the shed, Radio4, cuppa on the go and footling around, always find something to do. Bit sad really :)

What an exciting life ...

I love the rain and the four seasons...I would not be able to live in a warm place all year round. I cannot say that I am fed up with the rain, it has to be non stop for many days for me to feel that way.

Worse come to worst one should take inspiration from Iceland since our changing weather recently looks more andmore like their weather.

So for instance one should have bigger covered spaces where to do things.

As far as I am concerned the post~rain snails are the biggest issue. I am trying hard to keep them away from the pots but I feel like trowing up when I check the pots in the morning and I have to clear regularly tens of slimy things.

We need to go and find the treetreetree jet stream and get it back. Preferably in time for the Olympics. That washed out Jubilee barge procession was an embarrassment to watch.

The first people to discover the Jet Stream didn't survive to tell anyone else unfortunately.

Before radar, planes relied on timing for the distance they had travelled. A plane didn't realise that they had got into the stream & were going much faster than they were expecting so that when they started the descent to the airport they had overshot it already & went smack into the side of a mountain:sad:

Now we know about it, its regularly used to save fuel on transatlantic flights.

So the airlines are the prime suspect for moving it. The thieving so-n-so's.

I blame that atom bashing thing under the Swiss Alps, making a magnetic field and pulling the jet stream south, and the volcanos that woke up, up north :roflol:
