lapse is fab, its my most played. the wall got played and played, and it did become tiresome because of it, but the same thing happened to dark side. its one of them, leave playing them for a while then go back to them. i dont really have a fave, but if i do then its a toss up between lapse and waters' amused. or is it waters' pro's and cons's and delicate sound. or division bell and wish you were here? or the final cut and relics? oh i dunno. they're ALL my fave!!
The Wall, and Final Cut....well...bored me to tears...sorry Even Gilmore stated that he'd had enough of it....
did you know that on the song great gig in the sky, the bit where it says "I am not frightened of dying. Any time will do: I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it — you've got to go sometime" paul mccartney was interviewed for the voice along with many others (famous and non-famous) but they weren't included as they weren't good enough? the words at the end - "there is no dark side in the moon, really, a matter of fact it's all dark" was spoken by an irish bouncer??
Nearly missed this thread. I saw them just after Syd left and then several times between '69 and '71 including the 1970 Bath festival. You can't beat the raw power and great slide of One of These Days from the Pulse tour. The effects maybe slightly OTT but it must have been incredible seeing and hearing it live even though Waters had gone.

yes, they didn't fit as they weren't good enough (i am jesting. its the mccartney bit!! ) iirc, it was because it wasn't serious enough.
