I have been trying to grow radishes, yet I am having no success at all - the first ones came to next to nothing (very thin radishes that weren't worth eating they were so small), and my latest lot have bolted, with no sign of anything radish-like at the bottom?

I thought that the first ones probably failed because they were planted too close, so I planted the next ones thinner - but still nothing. What am I doing wrong?

I have had 3 succesful sowings this year but the last 2 sowings both bolted with not much on the bottom either so might be the weather. I can't see any other reason for it.

Thanks :) I must admit, I hadn't thought to blame the weather, which is a bit silly of me given the state of everything else in the garden!

I have been trying to grow radish outside in a container, weedy and no eating on them
Went away for two weeks, and now they are golf ball size, but too woody to eat :-(

What hope have I got if I can not grow Radish, every eight-yearold school kid manages

I`ve had 3 sowings of French Breakfast 3 this year. The first two produced decent size radishes but the last one wasnt so great, i dont know if it makes a difference but i always grow mine in 2ft wilko troughs rather than putting them in the ground.

I have had 2 crops from the ground and my latest one is also in a 2ft plastic trough, but these are struggling.
