    GOOGLE IMAGE Sun Gold, and they are the same as yours sheal,

    I thought too that Sun Gold were more yellow as in GOLD

    I do not have Sun Gold, but what I do have are GREEN :-( You are lucky

      Here's a photo of my Sungold from last year, definately orange compared to others (plus the single one I've had ripen this year was orange):

        Thanks John for confirming the colour. The toms I've grown for the two previous years were a deeper shade of yellow than your Golden Sun. So Suttons have mixed the seeds up somewhere along the line. In fact I've got the colour in my newly decorated dining room, which I never thought would appear in a tomato thread here on GC. :heehee:

          My leggy plants are now outside and doing better...but no flowers at all. Too late? Anything I can do? (don't know the variety, bought them as young plants from an allotment society).

            Let me say straight off that I am no expert, but it looks to me like they have taken a long time to ripen. I have seen the same thing on outdoor toms, which leads me to this conclusion. They're still perfectly edible, but as for the taste? You'll have to let us know:blue thumb:

              They have taken a hell of a long time, you are right - these two were among the first to appear weeks ago, and have only just turned colour in the last few days. As with just about everywhere else in the UK, there just hasn't been the sun here.

              Thanks :)

              I'll give it a wee bit longer to ripen fully, and will let you know how it tastes once I get it harvested.

              I would take it now, I doubt it will ripen much more, just my opinion....

                  Golden Sun are deep yellow

                  Sun Gold are ORANGE, as in the pic you posted, on Johns plate and on google
                  and you did say you bought Sun Gold from suttons therefore correct seed

                  If your previous crops were deep yellow then you have had Golden Sun at those times
