I heard a discussion about it on Radio 2 about a month ago and there was one fella who owned a skip company and he was saying that he would have to leave all the skips that he had out on hire because it was going to cost him about £20,000 to tip them. They were also saying that a council run tip costs the council around £6,500 to tip there contents when they are full, but with the new price hike it will cost £192,000, so they are now thinking of charging people to tip at the council sites I think it was a £10 per car. There was also a builder on there saying that he would loose a lot of work due to him quoting people for say 5 skips at £500 and now that price is in excess of £2500.So as you say fly tipping will go through the roof.

The government seem to be so short sighted.

We can't use a skip as we have a very narrow shared drive. We use a waste disposal company who show up with a truck, load it on and then drive it away. They usually cost half the price of a skip and I'd doubt you would pay much for junk in your attic to be taken away.

Get one in that's licensed though as a lot of them are fly tippers.
