    Name anything, food, music, things you remember in your childhood..

    My era was the 1990's, I was born in the mid 80's but 1990's was my time.

    what stuff do you remember from your time?

    and what has disappeared or kept going until today?

    for example remember when Snickers was Marathon bar? Remember when Starburst sweets were called Opal Fruits. Remember when Walkers crisps used to be a company, and not dictated by Lays?

      I remember Golden Wonder were the crisp of choice before Walkers were heard of - them, and XL Cheese (although they may have been a Scottish brand);

      Cremola foam is another Scottish delicacy from my childhood that sadly disappeared.

      I'm a mid-seventies kid, so eighties were my era I suppose, so there will no doubt be loads that will come back to memory as this thread progresses.

          Oh aye!! With the wee blue bag of salt. Then there was Smiths Square crisps - goodness only knows what bearing the shape had on the flavour.

          Vim and Ajax (Vim disappeared and Ajax got renamed Cif) - it seemed like my mum was always scrubbing stuff with Vim. Dreft washing powder was another one.

          And of course, the Raleigh Grifter - the bike that I coveted as a youngster.

                I was born in the first half of the 1970s, and believe it or not, I can remember the second half of the 70s.

                I remember my freinds and I making up alternative words to songs by the likes of Adam Ant.

                "Stand, in your dinner, your money or your wife".

                Oh, and we mustn't forget Kojak.

                And this christmas carrol: "Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Kojak lost his lollipop so he bought a milkyway".
