Lolimac, the shape is purely coincidental, but it probably dries first because it is a natural rise in the paving and therefore dries out before everything else. Next time you are out there, touch the offending area, and you should feel the rise in the paving in that area.

I don't necessarily believe in ghosts but I believe in the 'beyond'.

I have done seances many years ago and actually saw my deceased mother walk up to me and touch me ... it was very frightening ... no, I did not do drugs!

There is a friend of mine in the UK whom I have known since the early 70s and she could think something and I would know about it ... ie, I would go to the grocery store and buy something I didn't want or require and go back to work and Lynne (still a friend today) would say, 'oh, thanks, Vic, fancied some cheese, how did you know'? I had a car accident and she 'appeared' 30 minutes later saying 'I thought you needed me' ...

I went through the most incredible incident in the States in the mid 60s when I was driving back from Florida to Alabama and there was this detour which I took late at night. I approached a town with a traffic light which turned red as I approached. I stopped, looked around and it was a deserted town, very old western, not southern, there were hitching posts for horses, all lights were off in the buildings. The traffic light went green and I moved on. I was then suddenly back on the road I was supposed to be on. No, I was not tired and again, not on drugs .. working in law it was not my thing. I think I passed into another plane.

Not sure what category these things come into but I definitely believe there is something in some of us and there is DEFINITELY something out there more intelligent than us ...

There are accounts of people going into a different time, like walking down the street and stepping into another era. Of course with personal accounts it's difficult to verify, but they are people's experiences.

I stand by the rising idea that many ghost sightings are the product of areas with higher than normal electromagnetic energy. Certainly high doses of EM energy can lead to feelings of not being alone, phantom sounds, and sometimes even hallucinations. Meanwhile the sickness people sometimes feel in an old building, may be the product of infrasound.

I always say rule out every possibility, and if you're left with no other possibility, then chance is, you have something paranormal/unknown.

... as many say here you believe in what you see..... keeping a long story short .. years ago when our kids were young we had static caravan. The wife would sleep in the bedroom with the baby and i would sleep in the lounge on a bedsettee. I woke in the middle of one night and saw an effigy drift past (i mucked myself).... when discussing this the next day with the wife she saw it at the foot of her bed ...

Yes Caveman, if two people see something simultaneously, then that is very strong evidence. However when someone says "did you see that?" it can influence the other persons thought.. but if two people remark on something at the same time, then that is very strong evidence indeed, and difficult to debunk.
