It should not be used casually. It should always be used in a thoughtful, intelligent manner, and only by responsible adults that are of sound mind and clear intent.
        Don't think there's anyone in GC who would qualify:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Salvia "Wendys Wish" is now blooming...............

            DSC_2490.jpg

            Even the bracts are attractive...............

            DSC_2489.jpg

Grows rapidly once going, but sadly tender. Cuttings root easily, althiugh it is protected by PBR.

Very nice LongK. In fact I think that the bracts that really make many Salvias. In some like Salvia sclarea the flowers are so small that you hardly notice them all you see is the bracts.

This is a new one on me. I came across this description on one site.
I assume that PBR rights allow you to take cuttings for your personal use - but not for commercial use. Though I am not exactly sure.

I believe that you may, but that technically you are not allowed to even give them away.
I have no real problem with it in this instance though as the proceeds go to the Make A Wish foundation.

The elusive Lepechinia bella from Bolivia is the best species, more compact than L. hastata, but not hardy. I may have seeds later this year.

Brillantaisia nitens is not an easy plant, but worth trying, sometimes known as Brillantaisia subulugurica!

Nibor - a very warm welcome to the forum. Do tell us what you grow. Clearly some unusual things - and we like unusual. :heehee:

The pictures of Lepechinia Bella look lovely, but I have never grown it. I think you can get the seeds from http://www.seedhunt.com/ who have an interesting list of Salvias and other unusual seeds.

However I have grown Lepechinia calycina - which didn't impress.

I don't know Brillantaisia nitens, so have just had a Google. Thanks nibor for the introduction. :blue thumb:
