After Herman's gourmet breakfast yesterday, I returned home in the evening from London to find that he'd grown almost to the top of the large mixing bowl! I went to stir him again with a plastic spatula and he deflated immediately.
Today, I have repeated this twice as he's on a mission.
Gosh, this is nearly as scintillating as spending a day in a warm, sunny garden.

Yesterday (day 9) I gave Herman a repeat breakfast ( same as day 4) stirred him and gave 3 portions to friends and kept a quarter back.
Today, he had a huge feast and then got baked for 45 minutes. Here he is: filled with chopped crystalised ginger and topped with pecan nuts. He'll be going with me on
Monday to feed volunteers around the boardroom table at our local Hospice. We are stu Sourdough Friendship Cake 21 July 2012 002.JPG ffing quarterly Newsletters into envelopes with raffle tickets, event flyers and lottery application forms. Only 10,000 to do.!!

You can stay holed up in the house and marathon movies/TV shows. Busting out some of those dusty board games also works in a pinch.

My wife would like that, but trouble is I quickly start going insane if I'm indoors when its still technically day time.
