What jobs are we doing today in the garden ?

    Up at 6 am ,put the tele on and on came digital world, childrens programme,:chicken: it was all about keeping our friend the slug at bay,usual egg shells,hay mulch,milk ?, but what was of interest was sandpaper collars ,I will try that round a couple of bad sufferers ,got some in the shed and I am pretty sure its available in packs at the pound shop,:oops:

      When the Olympics are on, please Mr Shiney can we (who don't watch loads Lympics) have a virtual bonfire at the bottom of your garden? I will bring my own £2.50 stool that I bought from Asda's to sit on. And something to cook in the embers as I gaze at glowing ashes,

          sorting out plants and pot re potting what i need to and general tidy up

          also stinking my house with with a bath full of jeyes to clean everything from the greenhouse i stupidly left seedlings trays on one of the lower shelves and now having to decontaminate after blight :sad:

            Please Lord find my neighbour (who is not interested in gardening) something to do instead of trying to chat, when i am trying to sort greenhouse drainage problems :help:. Had to come indoors so she might move on :th scifD36:

              oh there is nothing worse i took to doing every thing either really really early or really really late ...... now i think about she did too after a few weeks she thought i was avoiding the sun :gaah:
              i have come in just to have a break from the yappy terrier that has moved in two houses up, i wouldnt mind so much but he lives outside as the yapping drove the owner crazy ......... really ????????:scratch:

                    Just cut back the privets whilst its not raining. Its been too long, i filled an empty green bin to the top! :rolleyespink:

                        so i have made a start cutting down a rampant cotoneaster and its allowed me to see my Blue D`Anjou clematis [​IMG]

                          1) Fed and watered all baskets and containers
                          2) Did some weeding
                          3) Took some cuttings from some fuschias
                          4) Took PH readings from several parts of the garden ready for planting some acid loving shrubs in the autumn
                          5) Cleaned the patio area
                          6) Secured some nylon string inside the GH to support a growing vine
                          Had Breakfast :blue thumb:

                          7) Took out some plants, that weren't doing well and put some other plants in.
                          8) Re-arranged some containers
                          9) Collected seed from various plants
                          10) Cut off discoloured leaves off the roses.
                          11) Picked up some slugs and lobbed them over next door :roflol:
                          14) Tied up a straggly Buddehlia

                          Had Dinner (that's lunch for you southern softies ;)):dbgrtmb:

                          15) Raked some dead moss out of a lawn I treated a couple of weeks ago (took ages)
                          16) Took some photo's of the fushia's I don't know the name of.
                          17) Dug a fushia out of the ground and put it in basket (where it should be)
                          18) Cut back the Honeysuckle
                          19) Trained up some more of a fast growing montana clematis and give it a good telling off ;)
                          20) Took some Penstomen cuttings

                          Knocked off for tea.

                          So I haven't done much really!
