What's looking exotic in July 2012

He has deffo made it look easy,brilliant i have seen then on the net but thought we dont have the climate but ive not seen a pic like that...pete copyright it!

 

That what make that plant really special , it`s all Pete effort , for how long would you go out in winter and cover your plant with a blanket?
I`m still trying again to grow one in my greehouse .
That`s why i love this forum , the inspiration and advice I`ve found in here i wouldn`t found it anywhere else.

 

Its the best site for everything,great people on here i do read what you all up to even thou im not involved in exotics or growing them

Thank you Joolz , I`ve only joined last September , I`ve shared what I`ve learned from mistake and learned from you lot , still long way to go and still have lots of ideas but no time.

 

I must agree with you there Sal.

 

Im not going to bite of more than i can chew..so i shall keep an eye on what you lot are growing..ive moved up a level and bought canna seeds and thats adventurous enough i think for me at mo

 

The BOP is a labour of love, and as such not everyone has the time or the inclination to grow it outside in the UK.
Its one of those things that you start and see no end.
One day I'll have to let it go, but not for a long time yet,..... I hope.

 

Pete that`s a master piece of love , the most impressive thing I`ve seen on this forum.
That`s why I was saying that you make it look easy , I wonder if your Bop will produce seeds ?

 

It has produced seed in the past when I have hand pollinated, but the flower stalks are so tall I will need to cut them off when I put the framework over for the winter, the seeds dont ripen until the following spring.

 

I'm in awe of Petes BoP too Sal!
I've been inspired enough to try to harden off an Iochroma Australis too.
