Mega problems

    Pal, don't junk your old PC. If the problem is due to bits of software that you can't delete, it might be worthwhile taking out the HDD and replacing it with a new one. You might possibly then be able to mount your old HDD as a second drive either internally or by buying an enclosure as an external drive. If the PC is only 4 years old the main processor and video should still be pretty well up to date.
    This would at least give you a second PC as a fall-back system once you've got your nice shiney new one.

    You could always take the hard drive out, put it in another pc (as a slave) then format the drive (wipe it clean) then put it back in the pc it came from. But you will need to install EVERYTHING again.

    My Guru tried several times to get aol off the old one but with no luck...too many CIA bugs in it!:pcthwack::snork:
