    I would love and be grateful to have, from the Gang, suggestions of names for the new variety of Day Lily that I have found in my garden. So I thought a little competition where members can have the chance to have their suggested name registered, when I patent and register it to gain Plant Growers Rights, would be nice:snork: .

    This is the new Day Lily for those that haven't seen my previous post and I really look forward to your suggestions on what to name it.:hapydancsmil:

    It's not often we get the chance to name a new plant and it's a bit of fun with no doubt some interesting names being suggested:heehee::snork:

        Flavia = yellow haired..

        coquette = one who gains attention & admiration of men..

              Armandii

              How about "for you" then you can add a bit at the start or end and that takes up part of the name of the rose that you and youre wife loved so much ..

              So my name that I put forward is:

              :wub2: "for you together for ever":wub2:

              cor imm getting all emotinal now :redface:

                It's lovely Armandii, but I just want to check before suggesting a name. Knowing the colours can look different here, is it yellow or orange please? :)

                    I think you should name it after your wife. What a lovely way to remember her and how much she loved the garden.

                        It has the colour of both the original parents, Sheal, i.e: orange and red mixed together so it's like a burnt orange I guess.:dunno: Love the names so far, including Watergarden's:heehee:

                          I've only ever had two varieties of Day Lilies, Hydro, and this new one must be a cross pollenised seedling of them and is a gift from Nature and nothing deliberate from me. I like it and will register and patent it, although that takes around a year to do [and £280!!] but it will be worth it, I guess.:snork:
