Went to visit friends in Vancouver last May/June. This is a Vancouver June 2011 113.JPG picture of their lovely red Acer. I fell in love with it and managed to smuggle home a tiny sapling growing under her skirts. Japanese Red Maple Vancouver June 2011 001.JPG
This is it today and I must admit, I'm rather chuffed.

Looking lovely Simbad, we are past peak now but have a lot of great late seedlings which are going to extend the season well which is exciting. The deadheading is a pain but gives you a chance for a bit of a drool.

I have this lovely petite fuchsia in my greenhouse (kindly given to me by someone on here as a cutting last year) and its been flowering since April, I potted it up into a larger pot about a month ago and its put on lots more growth and is flowering really well again now. Gorgeous tiny, tiny little flowers follwed by edible berries (I believe). Can't remember its name off hand....

Well, we've had sharp, short, heavy showers today but it's not stopped me taking pics in the borders of:

Hi Bilbo, yes, it is a nice Clematis [I'll have to try to remember the name!!]. I planted it in the Jasmine Hedge some years ago and it sat there for two or 3 years doing nothing....as plants do!! Then suddenly it has started to move along the Hedge towards the broken gate and looks quite pretty.:snork:

Hi Joolz, it's not looking like flowering just yet but I'll pm you when it does and post a pic. It was only planted late last Autumn as a dry root by the back of the pond along with the other 7 or so climbing roses there. I'll have an expedition down there to check on it tomorrow!!:snork:
