scrub that garage is messy again ...... daughter phoned and asked me to pop over to hers to put up a fence and gate ...... they have a fence and NOTHING just a fence !!!!
back over to mine get all tools out that i need, make a gate, cut some posts, find some fixing for gate( i dont have any hinges )
Daughter txt to say she also wants to make a bin area next to the fence separate from the kids area so maybe i can put up her planter and trellis as a screen to hide the bins,
i knew i should have taken i PHOTO

What a lovely border - your hard work is certainly paying off.
After the torrents of rain here I've been tidying and I found this daisy smiling up at me :) smiler.jpg

I was out most of today, but when I got back I stripped a lot of leaves off my tomato plants to let the sun through...........sun that's a bit of a joke really! I also took a couple of shots in the garden.

Dwarf Sunflower 'Waooh!' and Nicotiana that even with the bad weather have come up trumps this summer. :)

Well today I knocked something up for the wildlife (especially hedgehogs) out of some scrap wood I had left. A mini log shed with 'hog' house at the bottom, just need to get the logs from my dad to fill it; the bottom is filled with hay and dry leaves.

I have also made an entance just below the roof at back so birds such as wrens and robins will have access to nest amongst the logs.

I made one of these a few years ago in my mum's garden and it was very successful, seeing hedgehogs using it and having young in it was brilliant, also had a wren nest in it and mice :dbgrtmb:

Again this has cost nothing, all the wood came from freecycle..
