Rather than make me smile, the B.B.C. coverage of the sailing from Weymouth is a joke.:mute:

        Cheers, Tony.

Well a minute ago I was too busy fighting the urge to cry to be thinking about smiling. Young Jess Ennis was being interviewed and she became overwhelmed with emotion, and that nearly set me off because I'm a big softy really:)

Don't forget Jo Rowsell, Laura Trott and Dani King gold in the team pursuit breaking the world record 6 times on the way to the medal.

Absolutely stunning day for Team GB yesterday. Completely enthralling. I was glued to the telly most of the day/night, not least the athletics last night (which I have to admit is my favourite part of the games).

I have to say what makes me smile every time is the crowds, which have been utterly utterly brilliant. The noise they make is incredible and you can almost feel it spurring the athletes on. I'm also loving them singing along to the national anthem whenever a British gold medal is presented.

I can't remember a time when I've felt so proud to be British - first the Royal Wedding, then the Jubilee, now the Olympics [IMG]
