Thought I might get the month going, after all, it should be the most exotic month of the year for most of us.

    Feijoa

Passiflora "mauve mist", one of the scented ones

Pete has the Feijoa ever produced any fruit? Has I heard that that you need need more then a plant to produce fruit.
Ps lovely passiflora , today seen 5/6 in the garden center at £3 each , red , white , purple , passiflora alata , banana pink and a blue.

I have had fruit Sal, but I need to hand pollinate with the two other plants I have in the garden, it ripen very late, too late really and usually gets caught by the first frosts.

          Sal - looks great!
Nice to see the Eucomis in the foreground of the last photo - which one is it?

I got a couple of new blooms today. The first is a plant that I bought with me from the last garden - Alstromeria psittacina..................

The second is a newbie this year - Belamcanda chinensis.................

Longk no idea got it from the luck deep bulb box , it really stand against the Eucomis bycolor , which I realised that last winter I`ve lost all the white eucomis , only got the bycolor and this dark one ......not really disappointed as I didn`t like the white anyway and now that i know that they are not even frost hardy even better.

Pete - I love that Feijoa. How big is it? I understand it can get pretty large.

LongK - that Belamcanda is great - two more new ones on me. Is it hardy for you?
Your Alstromeria psittacina is growing well, but nowhere near flowering yet.

Duranta erecta. I have shown this before when it started to flower, but make no apology as its now absolutely covered in flowers. I understand that it flowers continuously for most of the year in South America - I just hope it will have a go here.

Alygoyne huegelii. First flower from seed this year. A close relative of Hibiscus from Australia.

The red one looks like Eucomis comosa, which the Sparkling Burgundy is part of. The white ones you lost are probably Eucomis autumnalis. Last year I started some seeds of these two to go with my Eucomis bicolor. I also started the E. pole evansii, the one that can get to 6' tall.

I like that Duranta Peter, look like an impressive plant in full flower:blue thumb:

My Feijoas are all in the region of 8ft high now, two are grown on a single stem and one is more a large bush.
Three separate seed grown plants, so cross pollinate.
