What an ideal place for your hives equivalent to Mayfair andPark Lane. In frame 7 - 4th bee from the right. What is he carrying on his back? Is he super bee - not content with just a large bag on each leg??:phew:

                        Hi Jenny

"She" is carrying pollen , the himalayan Balsam flower is so packed with polen they end up coming in covered head to toe .

if you look at frame 4, 5th bee on the right you can see a drone bee the one with the big eyes

Yes its a wonderful place to keep bees

                        Thanks

                        Spruce

                              Jenny forgot to mention

Both hives have over 40 thousand bees in each at least , I didnt get stung once , when I got home went and cut both the lawns wearing shorts and got bitten on my leg by a horse fly ? (black thing about the size of baked bean) I got it though one good slap that hurt as well as I used full force thinking whats that :hate-shocked: , my leg was bleeding for 5 mins after .

Love the song, the drones wont be singing that for much longer they will be getting kicked out of the hives in a couple of weeks time "carnage " as I call it, any that manage to get back in will be dragged back out , no drones are kept over winter they do this to save food and we are taking hundreds of them.
