I'd happily take the £140m. I just think of all the good I could do with it because the vast majority of it would go to animal rescues around the world.

"IF" You do win big, you do not go claim it straight away, you seek legal advice

My dream would be to win BIG but I would also like to spread it amongst my children

Now IF I took the win, then give some away it is TAXED Heavily
So I would have to think hard, the obvious thing is to say my wife, myself and my two daughters were a syndicate then all would get equal UNTAXED shares (Only a syndicate has to be arranged legally before the ticket is bought)

I think the way around that would be me to claim it all, Then give the kids gold card access to my accounts, and pray their partners are as honest as US

Giving them access would be the best all round, beats the tax man, you keep control of the money, If they turn rogue stop the card, AND again do not be petty, if you have given them access and they decide to gamble every week large amounts, well it is their money allowance, not my business to say I gave you it to live like me

Oh so many cans of worms open up,

Latest of the big win couple, they bought a lottery ticket again after the win, as if £140m Was not enough perhaps they were putting two pound in the pot for the next winners :-)

Well, to be honest, from personal experience, money changes you massively. No matter what you say no matter how much you promise yourself you and everyone around you changes.

My mate Gaz is bitter because a girl he once had a one night stand with, while they were both drunk, won a lot of money (thousands, not millions) some months later, and she didn't even buy him a pint.

Only if you die within 7 years??

Good idea. They do have to buy their proportion of tickets though - technically. If someone is behind with their Subs then technically they can be excluded from the winnings - its up to the paid-up members of the syndicate to decide. Of course you could do that, and them never pay, but its probably thin-ice.

£140M won't buy you lawyers good enough to beat the taxman if you have plain avoided tax, or worst defrauded the taxman :(

          Definitely defrauding the taxman!!

I reckon you're now (hypothetically!) in that little square on the Monopoly board diagonally opposite "Go" !!

That's the problem, aint it? No winners at £140M, only problems ...

Nice to have, but I woudnt of gone Public , the thought of "whoever" could ransom my family or even pets , celeb's live in fear of the kids getting taken on a daily basis and have Security following them to School etc would just be a nightmare.

I did win on that Friday I had 3 numbers it was £2.00 something ??.
I said to the lady at the till when she started to get the money out

" are you sure you have enough" that got a smile

But look at all the good things you could do....

Cloud tree hedge :wow: and getting someone in to deadhead and cut the lawns
and getting everyone on here a exclusive daylily

I think it's a ridiculous and obscene amount of money and people who win such sums have no idea of the snares they are about to encounter. Anyone in that situation who comes out the other side still sane or married is luckier than the luck he needed to win it in the first place. (imvho!)
