The smell of freshly baked bread and the smell of bacon cooking should both be banned. No matter how full up that you are, those two smells will always make you hungry.

Yeah, I see what you mean.

I take a laid back aproach to breadmaking, mixing up the ingredients the night before, I usually throw a load of fried onions in, I buy a bag of them from the Welsh supermarket when I visit my Brother.

Leave it to rise overnight then beat seven shades out of it in the morning.

There's a big drawback to this Stumorphmac, I hate cooking and if there's a machine around that will lighten the load, that's the way to go in my book. :)

My pennies worth....Still got mine from a few years back but I mainly use it on the pizza setting to mix and do the first rise. I usually divide into rolls, bake and freeze some to keep them fresh. Sometimes use the big food mixer to do a full size dough mix and then divide into small breads and maybe some rolls as well. Please don't stick to the same recipe or you will soon get fed up with it and it will end up gathering dust as a lot of our stuff does.

Here's a piccy of my fave bread I've made so far to date ( ok, taking photos of bread ive made is a bit, err, sad, but hey, I'm proud of it!)
It a hazelnut and walnut bread, made with 30% white flour and 70% whole meal. Used olive oil instead of normal oil and it was delish!!

I had to open the shutters to take this photo. It's been so hot here we've had to lock ourselves away in the dark.:snork:

This loaf is half white flour and half wholemeal. Total of 5 hours from start to finish.

That Tesco offer expired a few days now. Amazon priced matched it at the time and some people actually managed to get them from Currys using their price match -10% less offer and got theirs for £54. Sadly everybody put their prices back up a few days ago. Read all about it here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/panasonic-sd-2500-wxc-breadmaker-59-99-amazon-1288375?page=1

P.S. Panasonic SD 256 here, bought when they were a mega-bargain at Currys a few years ago.
