What is it about Sundays????

Today has been like most Sundays, I feel very bored, can't get stuck into anything other than cleaning, keep looking at the clock!! I know the weather isn't helping but I just can't get any motivation on a Sunday!!! I think it is because all the shops etc., are shut, the streets are too quiet, I HATE SUNDAYS!!!!!!!!
Good news is..........................it's nearly Monday!!

If you work, you hate Mondays

 

I love Sundays

It's the only day where we spend the day as a family ( I work everyday, inc sat) so Sunday is THE best day for me.

 

Nope, surprisingly, I even preferred Monday mornings at work to boring Sundays!!

I guess some of us, live to work, and some, work to live.

I know which category I fit into.

 

When I was working in full employment I loved Sundays, Double Time ..

 

Ooooh, I'd love the chance to be at home all the time and the opportunity to be bored. If I gave up work tomorrow I think it'd be about 2197 before I got around to doing half the things I want to do - of course mañana would play a big part!!

If you know you're going to be at a loose end, might I suggest you plan ahead. Think of something you'd really need to do, or better still something you'd like to do - you could defrost the freezer, clean the oven or sort out that annoying cupboard, but better ... why not write to a friend, make something (be it baking or some sort of handicraft), start researching your family tree, no matter what it is, make it something you'd really look forward to doing but even if it means buying ingredients or materials beforehand, just don't allow yourself to do it before Sunday.

 

Sunday is a great day for visiting NGS or NT gardens. You can enjoy the surroundings and also get great ideas for your own garden. Alternatively, a walk (or drive) in the countryside can be very enjoyable. So, don't just sit there................

But, we're still talking about it on thursday, so we'll be prepared for the next one.

 

I actually like Sundays as it means quality time with Mr Kandy,in fact i love both Saturdays and Sundays and use the time to get things done together.

I usually spend my Sunday mornings cooking us a nice roast dinner with all the trimmings and often while it is cooking in the oven i pop out in the garden to see if there is any weeds that need pulling up or dead heading to be done.I try to get the dinner over and done with so we can go out in the afternoon for a nice walk along our local footpaths, or lakes,or if the weatyher is a bit dull we might pop out to a couple of garden centres even if it is just for a look round.

I am not sure what the county was like where you moved from Val,but Hay is probably a lot prettier and i wouldn't mind living there

Didn't you move so that you could be nearer your family,as I thought they would be glad of your company on a Sunday?
