                        Met a fascinating lady at the Melplash Show today, I asked permission to stick a pic of her bees on this thread.

                        She gave a great talk on Queen bee's & how they produce new Queen's a lot of knowlege going on there.

                        I'll stick this pic on the Melplash Show thread too, as she might look in on GC.

                          Hi Zigs

                          Cracker photo , its called a "Observation hive" bees only kept in it for a week then moved back into a normal hive. Great to watch what they are doing, did you manage to see the queen , and if you did ? did she have a colour dot on her back ??

                          Apparently, didn't see her as I didn't have my glasses on. The Lady said if she finds a queen without the dot on, then they've made a new one.
