Mowed the lawn, cleaned the filter on the pond.

should have been in bed (nights last night) but as more bad weather is on the way, my little darlings have been collecting caterpillars and slugs, while i tidied up some of the beds, cut back dead foliage and potted some cutting i have acquired on my travels

Fitted a new blade to the lawnmower, then mowed the lawn, then gutted out the shed - threw loads of stuff out, but yet it still seems as full as it did when we started :dunno:

Moved the strawberries and ended up having to cut some of the runners off and just hope that they take root - had no choice, the wee one kept bumping into them and knocking all the pots over.

Finally, I cleaned the windows and French doors so I can see out clearly from my armchair.

If you can almost see Australia Shiney, why don't you dig through and plant down there, they're probably getting better weather than here, with the exception of Shineyland of course. :heehee:

Is it worth trying to have a rummage around with a fork in the heap Shiney it might make them there meeces do a runner.

Watered my toms and peppers, just before the first of the thunderstorms blew in - as it pelted it down for the rest of the afternoon there was no hope of getting anything done in the garden.

Been busy in the house though - wall mounted the microwave which has gave us a nice chunk of work surface space back, then removed the under cabinet lighting that had gone fut (nice new LED ones are in the post on their way), then I put up four corner shelves in the living room, touched up the paintwork in the corner where I had made my pencil marks, shampooed the carpets, and then helped Mrs C assemble her new telescope :)

Cut my front lawn and weeded the borders. Cut back my laverta and rubekia. Planted one of the dahlias I got for £2, then the thunder and lightening start closely followed by a monsoon so I came and got dragged shopping by the wife.

Mrs Shiney got a load of shrub pruning done and our bonfire heap is now over 6ft high. I'll take the first opportunity to put a match to it now that it has rained and the field has been harvested.
