Well it's obviously not come from Colchester Zoo Clueless. This is one cat that people won't be chasing out of their garden. :heehee:

    Oh dear.

Willow saw another panther when we were in Devon a few weeks ago. Didn't report it as we are fed up of being tarred with the loony brush.

I love the latest BBC report on this. I love how people's minds work. Take two pieces of information, one of which you have no explanation for. The other you have some second hand reason for, and you get this witness:

On a more serious note though, if its genuine, I do hope they find it and capture it safe and alive before it has chance to eat ignore all the sheep, cows, horses, pigs, misc animals in Essex and eat all the people.

Yes, heard it on the news first seen around about 7pm last night but have been unable to track it down since. I was wondering if it were a private lion kept under licence whether the owner found it missing and went and retrieved it before the alarm could be raised and now cannot admit to it having been lose in case he loses his licence. On the other hand there was mention of the circus having been through there recently. I wouldn't think they would just move on and leave it lose without raising the alarm. You be careful those who live in the area.

It shouldn't be too hard to find. Sooner or later it will get hungry. I reckon it will take livestock rather than humans. Most predators know better than to go where there's lots of people and traffic and noise.

I have to admit, I do wonder if its a hoax. A lion is a big animal, and a photo is easy to fake these days.
