A few more pics of my garden

The yellow dahlia in the,pot has come on fantastically, everything is fed with phostrogen.

One question though, the hydrangea has only produced on flower head this year, it's been in a pot and has been for a coupe of years, and previously as had quite a few flower heads. Why this year has t only produced the 1? I used to use miracle grow on it, but changed this year to phostrogen, has this got anything to do with it?

 

Your garden is a credit to you al n. Has that hydrangea been in the shade a bit too much? Not that there's been that much sun around.
Maybe you could forgive just one plant that isn't quite 100% !!

Had 2 failures so far, the 2 hollyhocks I planted have suffered so badly with rust. I've not that them before, so what's the best way to combat the rust?

 

The hydrangea is now in the shade, before it was on the front edge of the deck, so got sun from midday onwards.

 

Thanks armandii, the hydrangea was always in the pot. And come to think of it, I've only used tommy feed once this year, whereas previously used it all the time in the other house, mainly for the pots and hanging baskets.

I like that spikey plant in #3. Is it a Phormium? Delighful colours

 

It is a phormium jenny ( can't remember which form though?) I think it's either rainbow sunrise or rainbow chief?

 

I've probabley said it before Aln but i did have serious concerns Re Black fences but i tell you what ....it really looks great

 

Thanks lolimac, I think I did make the right decision on painting the fences black. Really does make the plants stand out, the greens look so much greener, and the colours really pop

The black fence is great. It's actually convinced my missus to let me do the same next year!
