In our area there are messageboard sites that are supported by the Cat Protection Society where people place missing Cats info. These are monitored by rescue and pound staff, as well as pet lovers generally and have a good results record.
Even if the result is not the one wanted, at least there may at least be a final outcome.
Good luck and here's hoping the outcome is a good one:blue thumb:

One of my cats, called Sally, disappeared for six weeks when I'd only had her for about 3 months, Randy. I had a old Roman Sand Quarry only 25 yards from the front of my house and that's where she had gone. It was a huge quarry and overgrown with a jungle of plants so I couldn't find her, but as I said she reappeared about 6 weeks, very thin and hungry as she only has one eye and no real experience on how to survive. I was so glad to had her back and I've got my fingers crossed that Meg will reappear soon.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

Geeze............. sorry MIL said that in front of the kids. It's upsetting enough already. While it's possible something did happen to her there's no call to be so blunt. Not very considerate on her part.

Sorry to hear about your missing cat RandyRos. One of ours disappeared once.
A year later I recognised a description of a cat "recently saved" by the Cat's protection league.
Went to see it and yes, it was our cat! :)
He wasn't chipped at the time but from his reaction to seeing us, the lady at the rescue was assured he was ours too.:ktykss:
Don't give up hope. :blue thumb:
