The night sky........

About 40 years ago I was driving across a Yorkshire moor, and there was a rush with loads of green glowing stones whizzing past then smoking on the ground, the smell was like rotten eggs, I put my foot down and bailed out
I think I should have stuffed them all in the boot :-(

You probably can't remember where abouts it was after 40 years i'm guessing Jack?

Retrospectively, you did the right thing, you had no way of knowing if there would be more debris following on & the rotten egg smell may have just been sulphur dioxide. But if it had been Hydrogen sulphide you'd be dead.
