Wow that is phenomenal. The guy did well not to panic and sink faster. Although I must admit they do say to use rope but whatever is closest

The digger driver knew what he was doing. Placing the shovel as close as he did and then the final dig out was real skill!:snork:

I think the stuck chap had some very mixed feelings judging by the video. While he was smirking and playing cool, he was trying quite desperately to free himself. At one point he makes a futile effort to dig himself out with his hands before the digger finally frees him.

I can tell you if that was me, the back of my trousers would be brown, and it wouldn't necessarily be because they'd been in the mud.

I must say the guy in the mud was incredibly calm, which helps a lot...

That driver had skillz. And I'm trying to resist a 'in soviet Russia' gag. But there's something about how calm the guy and the rest of them are. 'yeah just dig him out, it'll be fine. Ah ivan, always with the nearly getting submerged/maimed by heavy machinery!'

What makes me smile about videos like this is , no matter how bad situation the friends of the person in distress always find it funny. Great bit of digger driving though, wouldn't happen over here though with Heath and safety, probably be a good for the fire brigade.
