Currently, I'm more knackered than excited, but yeah - really looking forward to growing all sorts next year.

:P no, they do work thankfully - bit more subtle than that

It looks as though you forgot to install the armchair and beer brewing equipment!

Out of interest - is that dark square a manhole personhole :heehee: cover?

It looks bloomin luvvly FC. Wouldn't know a clog if it jumped up and bit me. It looks to me like the place to bed down on a sunlounger one night and look at the stars. Maybe a few bevvies and a takeaway curry...... and that telescope.
A heartbeat away from heaven bonny lad,

Rodding right-to-left would be an issue (well, with straight rods, probably not with the sort of spiral things that Dyno Rod Man uses!), but if the cover itself is an issue perhaps it could be replaced with a multi-section one like this:

Thanks all :) It looks even better today now that its got some greenery in it - I'll try and get some photos tomorrow.

The dark square is a manhole cover, however there is enough space under the frame for us to lift the lid to gain access should we need to - there is also another access cover just at the front of the shed; it is currently partly obscured by the shed, and is part of the reason that I want to spin the shed around, but neither of them will be completely impossible to access.

The clog - well, suffice to say that on the front gable you will see the top door runner, and on either end of that top door runner there should be a piece of frame that comes down vertically and attaches to the main frame to stop the door runner sagging when the doors are fully open.

We only found these two vertical bars when we were at glazing stage, and the bottom edge of it should be sandwiched in between the angle bracket for the roof and the frame for the front, so retro-fitting it is nigh on impossible.

The solution for now is to simply not open the doors fully (not that they seem to suffer too much if they are opened fully), and then work on fabricating a suitable support that I can bolt on to the outside of the frame instead of having to dismantle half the greenhouse.

Instructions for assembly were rubbish at best - that is our excuse, and we are sticking to it!

Fingers crossed it all goes my way today - got a day off work (school inset day for the wee one), and got family coming for a visit tomorrow, so want the place to be looking at least half decent - so, on the job list for today is:

              - Finish dismantling the polytunnel and find a home for it until I decide how to cannibalise it to recycle at least some of it.

              - Cut the grass

              - Cull the remaining tomato and courgette plants (lets be honest, they aren't going to do much now with the temps near freezing at night); clean the pots and tuck them up in the greenhouse.

              - Move the veggie bags over to their intended position for next year (albeit that they will need emptied and refilled with fresh compost in the spring), then move the planter over to its new home in front of the shed.

              - Swap out the plants in a few pots that are getting tired for winter plants.

              - Pressure wash and bleach the wheelie bin, then the patio

              - Sweep up the front garden and driveway, then wash the front door and the windows (our local council have this terrible habit of cutting the grass that is part of the pavement, and then simply use a leaf blower to blow the cuttings away, which then end up all over my door frames and in my front garden :wallbang:)

              - Tidy the shed up a bit so I can re-home an air conditioner

              - Cull the remaining coleus plants indoors, clean and store the pots

And then it is onto the inside of the house..............

Bloomin' heck FC. I've gotta go and have a lie down. Don't forget to have cuppas every so often. Hope all these thing go to plan. I used to make "mental" lists like this - miles too long. Now, they are shorter so I don't have to beat myself up when I fail to achieve ...

I write my lists down, then sometimes take notice of them. Or give them to my husband to do. Just come back from shopping, we have a fruit and veg market today, so bought some figs, yum yum. Lemons and limes to make some marmalade. Onions for pickling. Will sit down and have another cup of coffee, and get on with making my peach jam, which I got ready last night. after lunch, I have raspberry jam to make. then 40 winks, dinner and watch the box tonight as Mrs Brown's Boy's is on as well Would I Lie To You. Hey ho..it's off to work I go...

                    Clog solution ?
Can you not elongate the hole so it breaks through the bottom or side, then slacken one of the GH Bolts and TRAP it within ?

Well, I got most of it done - didn't manage to tidy the shed, and instead ended up shoving even more stuff in there, so it should probably have its own government health warning or something now. I also didn't get to do the front, but that will take all of ten minutes in the morning, so not overly bothered.

                    Does it pass muster?

Today, I ditched 35kg of green tomatoes and their plants from within the GH to the compost bin
I have left six plants that have orange toms on to see if anything happens within the next ten days, then it is off to the compost bin
That leaves two corgette plants with ten large yellow flowers, but as in every month since planting in April they just drop off and I get no fruit

I am considering removing the green house and going for a Lawn or paving slabs over the entire back garden then installing a swing so I can enjoy life again
