Sadly not Jack, we tried slackening the bolts to trap it, and gave up when we realised we were getting dangerously close to the corner of the roof letting go (whilst fully glazed).

I think I have a solution, but its going to need me to sweet talk the body makers at work to get them to fabricate me a couple of aluminium brackets shaped to fit to allow me to drill a couple of small holes in the top of one of the uprights, and then bolt these 'adaptors' in place, and then drill holes further up the original straps to bolt them to the adaptors; it sounds complex, but I think it will be really easy once I get the right bits of fabricated ally.

I've just taken some more rose cuttings. My kitchen now looks like Kew with all the cuttings lined up on both windowsills :snork:

I got the front cleaned up this morning, swapped the plantpot at the front door out with another, as it was distinctly past its best, and that is about it. Family have been and gone, and we've had a lovely afternoon (if slightly noisy); now, its feet up with a Bacardi and see if I can resist putting the heating on.

Glad it all went OK FC. It's 11 minutes past so that Bacardi is a little late. These Onesies are all the rage and will stave off the craving for radiator heat!

I've heard Simon Mayo banging on about them this week, but have to admit that I don't fancy the idea at all - just a babygro for big people!

I've just grabbed my fleecy dressing gown and wrapped that over my legs like a blanket, however I don't think it will be long until I cave in and put the heating on for an hour or so; the temperature has really dropped in the last hour or so.

I'd better have a few Bacardi's to keep the cold out - only because you recommended it though Spruce ;)

I was away all day yesterday and didn't get home until quite late; this morning I had a delightful surprise in the garden .... Mr Mum had (finally) assembled my manger trough :dancy: *and* (bonus) *this* time ... he put it together the right way up!!! :hapfeet:

So, today's events were: lovingly stroke the trough; bit of weeding; walk around admiring and stroking the trough; pulled up some dead sunflower stalks; had a coffee thowing admiring glances at the trough; pulled up the last of the tomato plants, threw some to the ducks and chooks; walked back down the garden, stroked the trough; helped with the lawn mowing, whilst casting backward, admiring glances at the trough; stirred the compost heap; gave the trough one more stroke before making Mr Mum his favourite dinner.

Checked all those hebes I re-potted the other week and there is no sign of any brown any longer  so, I think I've saved their bacon afterall :)

FC, the greenhouse is looking mighty good!! Bravo! :dbgrtmb:

Spruce, put a thicker woolie on before you put the heating on!

Well, that's about all I accomplished in the garden today; did I mention? My manger trough is up and ready for filling?
