I'll wear me camera out! Thanks for your nice comments, Kazzie, Folly, Jenny, Mowgli & Bilbo. I keep plodding on. Perhaps I do things differently because I only started properly gardening in 2008/9 and a lot of it is experimentation. I gotta hurry up because I retire at 66 in 3 years time and I'll definitely have no money after that. So whatever state it is in then, it'll have to stay that way. :frown: I'm going to change a whole pile of plants around this January.
Folly Mon, the car was built in Abingdon in April 1960.

They still have to be beaded in and then stained.

Painted with black colouring now. It makes a difference, I think.

I was just thinking, I'm taking piccies from the wrong side. I should go into my neighbour's garden and take pics of the pond through the ovals from his side! The only thing is that, the trellis is not painted black on that side. :frown:

Piccies of Arid Bed under glazed section of pergola next to pond.

Not the best of pics and I've got to finetune it i.e. put some of the taller plants to the back. Hopefully it'll come out right in the end.

EDIT: Just looked at the last pic. What a mess. I'd go and start fixing it now, except that it's blowing a hooley here, freezing cold and horizontal rain.

Maple Bed. (Had been protected by neighbour's enormous Leylandi hedge on the other side of the wall but she cut it down.) Notice big Phormium on the right. Just moved this from the back garden to the front. Had to use my old pal, Archimedes,' principles to shift it.
