I lose my MOJO around this time of year. It lasts until the end of February. I'm sure i get that SAD thing. I just feel miserable, trapped (indoors) and angry. Then March comes, the sun gets a little warmer, the Daffs and Crocus emerge and i feel like planning things again.

Every Winter, I must confess that I look out onto that cold, muddy almost ghostlike scene and say to myself "how on earth could you possibly say you like gardening?" and have serious nagging doubts about whether I will ever want to go out there again. But,as we gardeners know, like Mr grinch said, the minute you can feel that stirring! it all come flooding back in again and off we'll all jolly well go, :):yahoo::yes:

I've planted dogwoods for the first time this year and, I'm hoping, they will give me the "je ne sais quoi" to venture out in the deepest winter for a spot of "stirring" .

Yes, me too: chooks and ducks do not care what the weather is like, just so long as they are fed, watered and sheltered.

My mojo is coming back. I have big plans for between now and next April. Sometimes all it takes is a look about someone else's pad. I was at my dad's allotment at the weekend and because most of the work is done for the year, I actually stopped to notice his non-productive area. He's made a little garden full of all manner of flowers, which you enter through a willow arch that is now so well established that it looks like its always been there.
