Hobbled around the garden earlier and was rather surprised by what is still blooming, and mostly blooming well too! Although the weather has been largely pants this year things are looking pretty good as I start to lift tenders in preparation for the winter.

So after a trip to my chiropractor I went out with the camera this evening.

    Phygelius..............

    Fuchsia Hawkshead..................

Leonotis nepetifolia (with thanks to PeterS).................

    Three climbers next;
Sollya heterophylla has been brilliant all summer (they always are).................

Seed grown Rhodochiton has bloomed its heart out too, but seems rather lacking in seed this year...............

Eccromocarpus scaber has also bloomed well in its first year from seed.............

A couple of seed grown Abutilon x hybridum that have bloomed well in their first year..................

Polygala myrtifolia has bloomed non stop since May. Here it is with the flowers closed up for the night..................

Salvia glutinosa grown from seed sent to me by Simbad................

A seed grown Digitalis parviflora still blooming strongly.................#

    A Triphylla Fuchsia called "Koralle".................

Salvia patens "Oxford Blue" seems to have its second wind.............

And finally Impatiens balfourii which has been a real star this year...............

Great pictures Longk! :dbgrtmb: My brother has just ordered a 'Hawkshead' Fuschia as he couldn't find one locally. He then discovered a small nursery near where he lives that sold them and the owner gave him some free cuttings. :)

Impatiens niamniamensis continues to go from strength to strength in the main bed.............

      Lobelia tupa..................

      Nicotiana sylvestris...................

      Acanthus.................

Autumn usually means that it's Tricyrtis time, but I have a few that have struggled this year. Here are the ones in bloom at the mo though..................

Another Triphylla Fuchsia - Thallia. I lifted it at the weekend so as to over winter it under cover (it's one of my faves)................

Salvia Wendys Wish was lifted a couple of weeks ago and it seems to have burst out in new buds and flowers since....................

An unknown Honeysuckle that I inherited when I moved here - kinda like this one.............

My pure white Tradescantia (another of my faves)........................

And finally, Cerinthe palestina is bursting into bloom all over....................

I've left Bessera elegans in the greenhouse, mainly because I didn't want the wind and rain to snap the stems.................

The final two are also out and out favourites.
Grevillea juniperina was loaded in buds earlier this summer but for some reason the blasted. Not this time though.....................

I'm pretty sure that I've shown them all before Jenny, but I'm really pleased with how everything appears to be hanging in there despite the weather!

What lovely photo's, wish I had a collection like yours. Don't want to put anymore flowers in, as we rent the house, and so tend to use the space for growing vegetables. I do have a box of flowers seeds, which I shall be sowing, so that works out a lot cheaper. :spinning:
