I went a long time ago, when my mother was alive. I enjoyed it very much. I did a tour of Europe and Italy when I got divorced in my 30's.:doggieshmooze:

View attachment 11779 This little thing has been sitting by the feeder but not bothering to feed. Just enjoying the sun I think. Has he had a long journey and is now just grateful to be here or is he a resident? ID please someone?
      thank you,
      Jenny

Well, even with the slight frost last night and this morning there are still some Butterflies, Bees and other insects flying around. I would have thought the Bees are on their last rounds of the flowers and the Butterflies must be looking to change.:snork:

True, Jenny, in fact there are still a lot of flowers for the Bees in the Garden. The Asters are doing well, the Japanese Anemones, the Rudbeckia, Cosmos, Monarda and others are still flowering. I was just thinking that with the shorter days and colder temperatures the Bees would be shutting down somewhat....apparently not:snork:

We now have two Jays that are regular visitors :dancy:

The one on the left usually only comes once a day but the one on the right is now here a lot. He started off as a once a day visitor. :)

Sorry, miraflores, :love30: , We used to go to visit different parts of Italy every Christmas and New Year. Beautiful place, but could get very cold at that time of year.

it's ok, I go to a lot of places without telling you:dbgrtmb:

just surprised it is still up after the earthquakes, because a lot of damage took place in that area in the last few years...

Your visitor Jenny is a common Dunnock, it used to be known as the Hedge Sparrow but it is not related. Yes it is a resident, usually seen in singles or pairs.
