I get mine from Robinsons seeds along with my shallots, and onion seed too as they are based near where my Father lives.

But my dad is in Turkey this year so I had to have our order delivered this time and got it the other day.

    Steve...:)

You folks buying bulbs rather than replanting your own?

Just curious as to why :)

Because the rubbish weather this year caused nearly all of mine to be badly affected by rust, so not only do I not want to re-sow them, but they are also softening prematurely due to premature leaf die back.

This has cost me a small fortune in lost opportunity for re-planting saved cloves.

My Garlic at the allotment...rotted this year and it was poor last year. My Elephant garlic hoiwever grown at home in a raised bed did very well so I will be replanting my own in the same way.

Ah. Understood now. Sorry to hear it :( Can't really "just plant half in case its a bad year" like self-saved seeds, eh? :(

More like construct a new raised bed well away from where old crops have been grown, fill with suitable soil, all time (+ money) and after all that effort then re-planting some very potentially diseased cloves.

    Not for me.

I could have replanted some of mine... if I hadn't eaten them. Oops.

New garlic has arrived already. Happy to report 3 healthy bulbs and undamaged so worthy of repeat business from me! Packaging was only a jiffy bag but it seems to be adequate for this delivery at least.

Mine arrived today and I'm disappointed that they are much smaller than they've ever supplied before. They did include 11 bulbs when I only ordered 9, but small cloves tends to mean small bulbs.

I expect Music garlic bulbs to be at least this size and have had them bigger in the past:

So I'm glad I only ordered the 9 of them.

That looks like it's only just been lifted!

I couldn't wait any longer and have got mine in the ground now, edging my bets against a cold winter to get a bit of growth in first...
