Well done you two. As if you haven't got enough to manage chez vous, you still find time to help your community through Nature management.:dbgrtmb:

Gave my new bulb planter a work out, planted about 150 daff bulbs. A bit late maybe but it's done now. Tulips will go in during this week and over the weekend.

Splint (straight cane) and some tape (electrical or gaffer) best you can do I reckon. (It needs to be tight though, but don't forget to release the pressure next Spring or thereabouts - once you know it has heeled)

Depending on how bad it is I think its no different to making a Graft or a Pleach, so fingers-crossed and it will be OK

Thx Kristen, the split was about 3 inch long. The tree is only about 1.5 foot tall
Managed to tie it tight with garden twine. Fingers crossed, got it from the bargain bin 2 years ago

Cleaned and bubble-wrapped my greenhouse ready to house my tender plants when the time comes, also have fleece, hessian and more bubble wrap on hand. Everything is still growing well so unless the frosts arrive they'll be stopping out for the forseeable future...:)

Potted up some Dianthus "Diana" and "Coconut Ice" pinks that have rooted. Potted cuttings of Fuchsia "Waveney Suprise" . Found some more seeds on Salvias and Althea Cannabina. Will add them to Seedswap when it gets to me.

Bought a load of bubbley wrap and string and also bought a wire brush. Spent this eve until about 15 mins ago scrubbing the algae off my decking with bleach and watter! That was after making this nights dinner, which consisted of a lovely chicken and mushyroom risotto. Nom nom nom .

I'm a bit busy today but may throw together a few bits and pieces to make a cover over the propagator. I'll see what bits of wire and plastic I've got lying around (I'm not a DIY person :heehee:). If it doesn't look as though it will fall apart during the winter I may keep the chillies in there instead of bringing them indoors.

Why would I need to stick plastic to my back? :heehee:

Ah, sorry, just realised you are a special case.

                    You'll need shiney-back-plastic instead :heehee:
