Wednesday piccies 10 Oct 2012 008.JPG Wednesday piccies 10 Oct 2012 045.JPG So, the plan was to go to the beach to take "stop action" pictures of waves for Assignment 2. Lovely, warm and sunny day - packed all the gear and arrived at 10.30am. Climbed the levvy wall and saw this!

The tide went out at 6am and I didn't fancy getting me or my camera that wet. Wednesday piccies 10 Oct 2012 011.JPG Wednesday piccies 10 Oct 2012 040.JPG

Footnote. Don't know why they came out in this order?? All taken on Manual with ISO 100 or 200 and lightmeter in zero position. I think I'm understanding a littlemore. If Steve cares to view these for critique, I'm very happy to receive advice please.
So, moving waves (Assignment 2) pictures next week when the tides change! Should have checked first !! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

yep, sea kale, toadflax and thistles. And Dungeness Nuclear Power Station on the horizon. And curlews warbling and oystercatchers shrilling and the sun on my face. With the cliff stopping the rest of the day's noise from getting to this spot, it is really a bit special. Only one or two regulars who get there as it's a bit tucked away. Made a nice few hours out today,

Well at least the tide was in this morning and the Oyster catcher was enjoying a wind assisted ride from east to west. Very frothy and noisy today. Waves at Pett Level beach 17 Oct 2012 001.JPG Waves at Pett Level beach 17 Oct 2012 015.JPGView attachment 11846

I'm not entirely sure Steve will find them here Jenny, might be best to post these on the Manual Photography Course Website :blue thumb:

Nice photos though and the waves look a bit wild today.

They are not Assignment pictures John and I understand why Steve wishes to confine "critique" to those pictures within the Course. I sometimes forget how fortunate I am to live so near to the sea - I don't go down there often enough. I like it isolated - not the "kiss me quick" daytripper spots on the Hastings beach.

Nice pics Jenny, I bet it was brisk down there today? Your right about not visiting the beach, when it's on your doorstep you tend to overlook it, perhaps I'll go down next week, weather permitting. :)
