Hi guys. Think I should say a few things about myself.

I'm new to the forum, but not new to gardening, even though theres lots i dont know. In the house we've never really kept many houseplants in the past, but i'm building up my collection slowly. My dads been in charge of gardening over the years. He doesnt really care much for plants/flowers, he prefers growing edible stuff. Which makes sense considering our limited space. Also he's had an allotment for the last 20-25 years and I've learnt a bit messing about in the allotments lol.

So anyways I moved back to my parents house in mid-summer and my new hobby is gardening. I think over the last three months or so sown/planted more seeds/bulbs than ever before in my life. Also took a few cuttings of plants here and there. Was kinda late for the summer season so preparing for next year I was thinking would be more sensible.

Our back garden is about 95% concrete slabs hehe. So I invested in a few pots and about 12 odd hanging baskets in the sales at end of summer.

So far to fill em up I'm growing quite a few winter pansies so we get to see few flowers over the winter. I have some Lavender growing from seed and some ornamental grass (bunny tails) just sprouted this week.

I took a few cuttings from a Kalanchoe plant after it had finished blooming and started to sprout roots on branches. Took a few cuttings from a Jade plant in the summer. The next day my neighbour gave me some cuttings already rooted which I though was ironic, she also gave me some spider plant cuttings and an Aloe Vera plant. Took a cutting from a trailing Fuchsia(red and white flowers) this week. I've been trying to harvest seeds from Petunias this week aswell, managed to get some from 2 pods so far  lol.

Bought a few bulbs over the last few weeks. Have 2 Hyacinths which I will try to force into bloom this winter. I also planted outside Botanical(or dwarf?) Tulips, Grape Hyacinths, Crocus and Miniature Daffodils.

I've got some Red Radish's growing at moment. Attached a pic a one a grew in its own pot for lols. Put some Garlic cloves to fill up a few spots here and there aswell. I think next year I would like to try some edible stuff like Cherry Tomatoes and/or Strawberries in hanging baskets.

So I've think I've maybe said a little too much for introduction post lol, but anyways look forward to seeing you guys around on forums.

      Thanks for the welcome guys.

Yeah I think mostly going well so far. Not sure about a couple things though, like whether my Lavender is established enough for when the frost comes around. But i'll get some pics and put a thread up in the relevant section once I got the pics.

Anyways thanks again for the welcomes.

Welcome aboard Rudy, you will fast learn that those that say things like we are all barking mad etc are generally those that are the craziest of all. Lol. Rotties can be mischievious given the opportunity she looks lovely. That is another thing you will find on here the majority of us are all mad about our furry friends in a big way!:doggieshmooze::cat-kittyandsmiley:
