Our islands in dire straights. Most roads are flooded and many impassable. We've had heavy rain all day and it's still falling now, it's not due to let up until midnight. My garden is under surface water, but at present no risk.

There's no river here, this is just complete saturation.

Well the rain held off much longer than forecast, not arriving until around 3pm and then it only lasted for a couple of hours. Heavy rain is still forecast for tonight though..

Temperature wise today it has been starnge, it started off mild then went distinctly chilly by late morning; you could see your breath, but then it warmed up again in the afternoon :biggrin:

    Sheal,
I'm so sorry for you - that is awful. Why is our weather doing this? I seems irrational to me . Please keep us posted tomorrow.

Thanks Jenny. The weather has been crazy for a long while, you'd think we would be used to it by now. Yes, I will update tomorrow. :)

Sorry to see those scenes Sheal, hope you escape the worst of it :)

We got the forecast heavy rain late last night, it woke me up as it battered against the windows!! Dry at the moment and I can just about see the patio is looking fairly dry so we've had no more rain during the early hours...:)

Wow! Sheal, I hope things clear up for you. This is all part of what they call 'global warming' (I don't want to get into the discussion about whether that is natural or man made ) which appears to be causing extremes of weather - and the say it will get worse :hate-shocked:

We didn't get yesterday's promised heavy rain. We had a couple of hours light drizzle which was good for the garden. About 8 p.m. the next village got heavy rain but it missed us.

This morning looks damp and overcast, with a temp of 50F.
