Thanks guys , finger cross as the firebird and orange punch should have been virus resistant....at they are all at £3.50 each ..still many to grab along with the hardy ginger.
Still up for Growing Canna from seeds 2013 thread ...can wait and finger cross for a better spring.

Mine too :blue thumb: and a couple of Gingers. I'm planning to grow them on (heat and lights) over winter rather than letting them go dormant.

I've always enjoyed visiting their nursery; they have a nice show garden, and things in their greenhouses and nursery area are well presented for a wander around. Worth a visit if you get the chance.

Will Giles garden nearby which is open on Sundays; plus Amulree nursery nearby too and they have everything (bar some exotic tree ferns I think) in their 50% off Autumn sale I think.

Kristen - I am glad you are planning to grow your Cannas on under lights - does that mean you will have seed for us in February. :heehee:

Mowgley - thanks for the link - nice site. I really like the coloured label guide to hardiness - I wish other sites would do that.

Thanks Armandii. Actually, I didn't like your post - but there is no didn't like button. :snork:

I had to scrape a lot of frost off my car this morning, so I put a few plants inside this afternoon. Looks like I will have to squeeze more in.
