Glad to be of help Woo. :) The roses look stunning at the show and 'Purple Skyliner' looks perfect inter-woven with the white.

It feels good to give something back to you after all the help you have given everyone else on GC regarding roses. I hope the rose does well for you and of course we expect to see pictures next year. :dbgrtmb:

I think I was beyond hope a long while ago :heehee: and I can't wait for my roses to arrive next month, the time is going to tick oh so slowly.

I must log out now............an evening out. :)

ohhh, and Purple skyliner is scented too!! [looks out of window at garden, thoughtfully]

Not this year - got too much basic digging and bed clearing to do, and Sheal has warned me about roses and sandy soil. I'll have to wait and see how our Winchester Cathedrals get on, and then decide next autumn .... Warning - I'll be like a child in a sweet shop!

Good morning Sian sandy soil could be a minute problem but there are many ways to combat this, and have successful roses:)Yes Calcium/Magnesium and soil outside 5.5ph to 7.0ph. can create difficulties but nothing that cannot be triumphed over:)Winchester Cathedral a lovely white rose, This rose appeared as a sport (a shoot on a plant that differs from the rest of it) on Mary Rose:)

Good afternoon Loli :yes::yes:Lovely choices my friend, Loli there is a place that I go to once a year for a complete rose rest,it has 10,000000 roses there in the garden, the effect is much like working in a chocolate factory and that is meant to cure you :heehee: but it just makes me love roses all the more:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I'd love to grow a Kiftsgate climber, got to decide what it could climb through though. I know they are big, but can I just let it lose in a middle-aged Oak tree, for example?

Don't tell me where it is Woo:nonofinger:....i'm not listening:whistle:;)
This is all because of your lovely new Arch:wub2:...i already have an Arch with a young Albertine making it's way up it...so my plan is to get myself a couple of lovely rustic poles and some nice thick rope and make a 'Catenaries' ......and it's all your fault:dancy:
