Canna 2012

Our forecast is to drop to around 4 degrees tonight and then possibly a little lower tomorrow night, we've not had a frost here yet but we're getting close, time to move them under cover very soon I think...

My poor greenhouse will be like the proverbial sardine can

 

No problem for me ...mine will overwinter in the rubbish bin

Guys , really looking forward to the new thread 2013 , it would be nice to try new variety from seeds.

 

I give up you all make it look really easy to buy which you like,ive been searching for pink shades of crozys? for hrs and cant find any,is there another name for them ? i seen some in claines canna collection and thought the darker leaf look nice with pink flower and theyre not 8ft tall

it`s a chimera you can`t find seeds for it .

 

Forecast here for 5C, and that's at 7am (7C at 1am) so if it falls lower it will be only for a short time. We've had plenty of 4C nights, but the plants seem happy so far. Why is it that the Dahlias are doing fit-to-bust now the nights are getting colder, would be much kinder if they did that a bit earlier on!

Im not usually a pink fan but that one caught my eye and sent me on a googling journey i did find a pink tropical series on ebay so i might buy them and see what i get x

 

Im over the moon with dahlias,brilliant arnet they ist yr ive grown them but im growing loads more next yr
